DIY: Fondant Cake

My very first attempt to make a fondant cake.

Let's just say it was not a very easy procedure.

Okay, maybe the procedures were simple and easy to follow but making it is not so pleasant...at least for a first-timer.

I was reassured by a friend that after the third try, everything will be fine.

I hope so, coz after a long, tiring night of never-ending kneading, I realized that cakes look better with fondant icing.

I am never going back to regular icing now that I have a list of 1,000 things NOT to do on your next fondant project.

{please do not pay attention on the cracks on my fondant.}

Seeing the joy on my darling daughter's face is worth all the work.

Goodbye, Duncan Hines and Betty Crocker.
Thanks for all the memories!

  2. I got it from Liquidation World a while back. Actually, I bought one as a present but fell in love with it so I bought one too. It's hard to shop for nice stuff coz I always end up with something for myself. Hahaha!
